I Am Such a Geek

I'm implementing a trouble ticket system for my home computers so I can keep track of everything.

There are a number of free trouble ticket systems out there, but they all require at least a web server and Perl, and sometimes a database as well. If I knew Access, I could slap one together there, but I don't, so I'm going to use OneNote. It's not ideal, but it should do the job, and I can stick it on my daily driver laptop without having IIS and a pile of other stuff all running.

OneNote also has the advantage that I can keep machine configurations, IP address lists, and other stuff in it too. Basically I can use it to fill a role currently occupied by a looseleaf binder and several pads of paper, but better.
