This is my storage unit.
Singular. I have actually gotten rid of enough stuff that I was able to consolidate the remainder into one unit. That's a major achievement. Of course, there's still a lot more to go. Among other things, while excavating unit #1, I discovered several boxes of the sort of stuff that I'd thought I'd entirely gotten rid of, like loose XT motherboards and random PC cards. They were sheltered in the back of unit #1, which was entirely impenetrable, and thus escaped notice, but now they've been brought to light.
The sad thing is, I'm thinking of keeping one of the XT motherboards. And I'm thinking of keeping it because of my original Plus Hardcard, which was my very first hard drive, all ten megs of it. It's not just a hard drive slapped into a frame, it was actually designed as a unit and it's very sexy, and I have fond memories of it, and I really don't want to get rid of it, but it's an eight-bit card and really isn't useful in anything but an XT. But an XT couldn't plug into my KVM, it would require it's own special keyboard. Furthermore, I can't think of anything to do with one that I couldn't do a lot better with Virtual PC running on one of my fast machines.
Ah well. Maybe I'll just keep the drive as a museum piece.
